We first started breeding and showing Pyrs in 1970. We have been breeding and showing Newfoundlands for 10 years. Our breeding stock are show dogs from championship lines, many of them American and/or Canadian champions. Our first concern is the temperament and our second concern is the health of our dogs. Our puppies are raised in our home with exposure to other dogs, cats, children, strangers and all the usual household noises. We have successfully placed puppies in show, pet or livestock guardian homes.
No puppy leaves our home before 8 weeks of age and all appropriate vet checks. You can expect a Nautika puppy to be a member of your family for many loving years.

All breeding stock is tested for hips and elbows. Additionally Pyrs are CERFed (eyes) and checked for luxating patellas. Newfoundlands are cardiologist-certified for hearts, as well as thyroid and cystinuria tested. Puppies receive all appropriate vaccinations for their age and are vet wellness checked before placement. Our contract provides a health guarantee against crippling genetic diseases.

| Requirements For Buyers: |
We interview our puppy buyers either by phone or in person to ensure that our puppies go to loving and responsible owners who will provide proper nutrition, health care, socialization and training in a secure environment. Pets are sold on a limited AKC registration and/or with a spay/neuter contract. If new owners cannot keep a dog for any reason, we will either take the dog back or help with rehoming it. We are always available to answer questions and concerns about your puppy and will probably call you from time to time to see how our baby is doing.

We will ship to approved buyers at buyer's expense, weather permitting. We welcome visitors to our kennel by appointment. We also encourage reserving your puppy in advance as puppies are often reserved well before they are ready to leave their mother.
